Mens double breasted suits are undoubtedly the finer way of going for formal wear. The double breasted suits are a timeless classic that has evolved gracefully with the time. But these days many people are more attracted towards single breasted ones since they think that the latter gives a pedestrian feel. However the appeal of double breasted suits is classic and best suited for any formal occasions. Men are not much aware of the advantages of using double breasted suits and most of the time it is worn in the wrong way at the wrong time. Go for a perfect cut

 

The taller and the thinner men usually have the advantage of looking good with a double breasted suit. However even the shorter and fuller men also can look good if the cut is fit. The suit should be tailor fitted well at the waist to hide those bulging bellies since the double breasted cut attracts attention at the mid section. The peak lapels are important for the double breasted suits since they highlight broader shoulders.

 



 

Put in more buttons

 

There would be altogether four to six buttons all set in rows in men’s double breasted suits. In that way there would be two rows with two or three buttons per row. If the suit has more buttons, the neckline would be really narrow. There should be enough space left for the hands to slide inside the flaps for reaching the inner pockets.

 



 

Match the colors and prints

 

 

It is always good to stuck to dark triads like black, navy blue and charcoal gray. Try to wear a wide collared shirt as it would complement the lapels that give accent to the broad shoulder profile of the suit. It would be appealing if the trousers would have cuffs and pleats which also give room on hip area and height.
